Stella Umbra
Stella Umbra is a captivating collection of laser-cut lanterns that meld the elegance of geometric forms with the charm of organic themes.

As the warm glow spills from their kaleidoscopic designs, a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow unfolds on the walls.

They were recently installed in Palo Alto, CA for the Annual Benefit of Belonging at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center.

Crafted from white birch plywood, these luminous creations feature intricate designs that dance with light and shadow. Inspired by nature and geometry these lanterns emblazoned with original artwork created by Josh Zubkoff, Srikanth Guttikonda, and Fonda Tong.
Customizable Interaction

In addition to being beautiful works of art, Stella Umbra brings an innovative twist to survey taking and donating. Upon entering the event, participants received three customized tokens which could be used to answer questions like "What brought you here tonight?" and "The OFJCC is where I..." The tokens were deposited in specially made lanterns.

With the remaining tokens partygoers could choose to make a donation to the Oshman Family JCC. When a donation was made the lanterns played a fun celebratory light pattern.
